A Coastal Retreat at Widemouth Bay

Context & Brief

This family home required both more space and a modernised layout. We extended at the first-floor level to create a generous new master suite with an ocean-view balcony, three additional double bedrooms, and a family bathroom — providing a long-term solution for a growing household.

Design Response

At the ground floor, we opened up the existing compartmentalised rooms into a light-filled, flexible plan where the kitchen, dining, and entertainment areas flow together. Large sliding doors connect the living space to the rear garden, transforming the home into a contemporary, spacious, and sociable environment while retaining its coastal character.
